What is the Friday Night Hunt?
The Friday Night Hunt — FNH for short — is a weekly community event on the Catskills shard of Ultima Online. Every Friday night, a group of adventurers gathers at Yew Gate in Trammel at 8 PM EST and heads out together to hunt monsters, explore dungeons, and generally cause mayhem across the realm of Britannia.
It's free to join, requires no sign-up, and welcomes players of every skill level and playstyle. The only requirement is showing up.
What makes the FNH special isn't the loot or the dungeons — it's the people. Over the years, the hunt has become a cornerstone of the Catskills community, a place where friendships are made and the spirit of old-school UO is kept alive week after week.

We res the fallen, share potions with those who run out, and make sure nobody gets left behind in a dungeon. That's just what we do.

This is a game. We're here to have a good time. Experienced hunters help newer ones, and everyone celebrates the wins together.

Q.Do I need to sign up or register?
No. Just show up at Yew Gate in Trammel on any Friday by 8 PM EST. That's it. No forms, no applications, no requirements.
Q.What shard is this on?
The Catskills shard of Ultima Online. If you're on a different shard, you'll need to create a character on Catskills to join us.
Q.What if I'm a new player?
Perfect timing. The FNH is one of the best ways to learn the game. Experienced hunters are happy to answer questions, share gear tips, and help you get started.
Q.What skills or template should I bring?
Anything works. Warriors, mages, tamers, archers, bards — all are useful. Hunt leaders will give guidance before each hunt on what to expect.
Q.How is loot handled?
Loot distribution varies by hunt, but the spirit is always fairness. Anything that lands in your pack is yours to keep. Some higher ends hunts resulting in higher end rewards are rolled for at the end, such as +25 Stat Scrolls, rare mounts and so forth.
Q.What if I can't make it every week?
Come when you can. There's no attendance requirement. The hunt will be there the next Friday, and the one after that. We'll always leave the light on for you.

Q.Do I have to join voice on Friday nights?
Absolutely not! It is super helpful and you are welcome to join and talk or just listen. However, you can still fully participate and never log into voice. We will use the General Chat channel and type in game in addition to voice so everyone can participate.
